Dishes are done!! Just finished dinner and got the kitchen all clean. We had to do a quick dinner because we got home from SUBU a little late. If I would have gotten my happy ass out of bed this morning I could have stuck to my plan. Oh well! We are full and the kitchen is clean, couldn't ask for more.
Yesterday, Ryan's Mom bought us some Fresh Market Anything Goes Sauce that I was excited to try. The timing was perfect! I had some chicken thawed out so I poured some over the chicken and cut up squash and broccoli to be steamed. I sprinkled garlic salt and worcestershire pepper on the veggies and then steamed them. The sauce smelled interesting when I opened it so I didn't put a lot on the chicken but it tasted great. Next time I will add more :)

Earlier this week I made some Banana "Ice Cream". I have seen this a lot on Pinterest and on multiple blogs. When my bananas start to get too ripe, I peel them, break them in half and then throw them into the freezer. This way I can use them in smoothies and now this awesome treat!
I threw 2 whole frozen bananas into the food processor and started it up. Eventually the banana starts to break down and then as they start to thaw they turn into a wonderful ice cream consistency. Most "recipes" suggest freezing your bananas for 20 minutes. Mine were completely frozen so I had to add some milk to speed up the thawing process.
I put it in a tuppie and into the freezer. After dinner tonight I made a little bowl with a scoop of almond butter. Yummers! Feel free to add what ever you would like to make your ice cream special. You can add nut butter to the bananas or some cocoa powder. This trick is great because ice cream is a big splurge item for me.

A couple of days ago, I went outside to water my herb garden and my Mint was completely gone!!! Something had eaten it all up. I was so pissed. Ryan immediately blamed it on the legion of snails that live in our breezeway, but I didn't want to believe it. The snails are my buddies. I got to see them in action one day when I locked myself out of our house. I didn't know that they climbed trees.
Anyways, last night we got home and this is what I found...

I removed this little guy but found an almost bare plant this morning. I think he told his buddies that the jig was up!
I did some investigation and found that crushed eggs shells apparently deter snails and slugs. Lets see how that works!
P.S. If you didn't see my update, I want to let you know that my Gruffins were thrown away this morning. Not sure if it was the change in my baking method or what, but they were no longer good this morning :(
