My New Year’s Resolution this year is DO THINGS! While this isn’t very specific, and anyone in the fitness industry will tell you that is not a very good quality in a goal however, I will make sure that I measure progress by creating a year-long TO DO LIST. In a sense I am creating a Life List for this year.
I will post the official list soon but at the top of this list is to get my parents healthy!! You can see a picture of them in the first post. They are amazing people with amazing hearts. They have both struggled with some weight issues and I have decided to help them make the changes they need to keep those amazing hearts healthy!
My plan is to use the blog as a way to document the methods that I use; what works and what doesn't; and to track their progress. The first thing that I did was create a list of healthy food options for every meal. I am not too worried about the specific quantities of the food they eat but more the quality. Once they are making healthier choices we can move towards making sure the serving sizes are correct.
Below is the list in case you are interested. Its very basic and is tailored to my parents. The main thing I tried to drill into them when I went over the list is to eat things as close to their true form as possible. Eat real food!!
I see great things for me and my family this year. Here's to getting them in MINT condition!!
