Things have been busy lately! In the past 5 months I have, started a new job, moved into Ryan's place, started the process of becoming Sport Yoga certified, and the coolest of all, Ryan and his buddies have opened a Crossfit Gym in Downtown Orlando (SUBU Crossfit). Most of our free time has been helping out there in any way, shape, or form. My bf is now a self-taught carpenter and has built most of the stuff in the new gym, from plyo-boxes to benches and cubbies. Soon we will put his carpenter skills to good use and build us some stuff for the house :)
Ryan's connection to the gym (SUBU Crossfit) has definitely lit a fire under my ass to really commit to Crossfit. I have been there 3x a week for the last 2 months, along with a yoga class 1-2x per week. This has resulted
in me finally seeing a difference in my physique, yeahhh!! Its only taken 10 years to figure out what my body responds to and how to get it where I want it! The reason it has taken so long is that I never fully committed to my programs. I get bored easily and would change up my routine so frquently that I never let my body respond to all of the hard work. But this time I made a plan and stuck with it:
- SUBU 3x per week
- Yoga 1-2x per week
- Limit Carbs in my diet (Paleo-ish)
The best part about getting immersed in SUBU is the awesome people that I have met so far. They keep me motivated and genuinely are great people that love to push themselves in the gym the way that I do.

My next goal is to add in some running on one of my current off-days. Mainly because, of all of the things that Crossfit incorporates, I absolutely suck at running! I have never really had to or had the drive to, but Crossfit has created a reason for me to hit the pavement. In fact, todays WOD is a "Stroll in the Park", which I am sure is nothing like a stroll. I will let you know how it goes!
Here is a great article that explains where my Crossfit addiction comes from: 8 Reasons Women (Should) Crossfit
Below is the song that I will be singing during the running WOD today!
